I really l like peanut butter and jelly sammies. But with no crust. Unless the bread is super soft. And I HATE bread that isnt super soft LOL
So I’ve been working hard at knitting stuff these last couple weeks. Well, it’s not really work, I really enjoy it. it’s good for my anxiety. It’s totally relaxing and fun at the same time :) I usually watch movies as I do it. I’ve seen probably 20 movies in the last 2 weeks LOL No joke! Everything from Jane Austen stories to Bollywood movies! hahaha I really like comedies and romance movies. Historical romance has always been a fave of mine. I wish men were more like they were back then. Respectful even if they disagreed, had manners, and had a mission in life to be financially stable.
*sigh*
Plus they look hot in hats and suits. YUM.
I’ve also met quite a few people in my area (well, KIND of my area…in Tulsa anyway) that knit and/or crochet. Some that even make their own yarn (called spinning) and I found someone that will teach me! *does the happy dance* You can die your own wool fiber and then spin it to make your own unique yarn!!
OK, I just realized how much of a DORK I am for getting so excited over something so geeky! But you know what, I love learning to make new things and doing it like they did back in the day. I think that if some of us dont keep those traditions alive then they will disappear. THAt is sad to me. Mamas arent teaching their kids to cook these days, they dont teach them things like sewing or knitting…all those things were important 100 years ago. People didnt go out and buy new socks when they got a hole in them, they fixed them with a needle and thread, or they made a new pair. Simple. But these days we’re so wasteful I think. Without care or even a thought that it might be harmful or wasteful.
Anyway… I’m excited :) And for $20 I can buy a spindle to spin my own yarn on!! That’s cheap!!
